Islamabad: According to news reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed the early issuance of money for the development of high-quality motorways for greater connectivity, employment, and trade possibilities in urban and rural areas.

PM Khan presided over a meeting to assess the status of National Highway Authority (NHA) projects. According to the Prime Minister, roads play a critical role in economic development. He went on to remark that having good roads will cut down on the cost of gasoline imports and car upkeep.
Federal Minister Murad Saeed revealed that a total of 1,753 kilometres of roads were finished in three years. More than 3,000 kilometres of road have been built in Balochistan, according to reports. The audience was also informed that the NHA intends to complete 27 projects this fiscal year.

Captain (retired) Muhammad Khurram Agha, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Jahanzeb Khan, Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed, Special Assistant Dr. Shahbaz Gill, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
