Islamabad: According to news reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the ‘Digital Media Programme’ in Islamabad on September 24.

The premier remarked during the opening ceremony that the world is progressing in the digital media industry and expressed his delight at the introduction of the Digital Media Development Programme for Pakistani youth.

According to reports, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are working together on the initiative. The initiative will concentrate on the development and expansion of Pakistan’s digital media ecosystem.

UNDP Resident Representative Knut Ostby noted that UNDP is glad to support the government’s efforts to equip the youth with necessary skills and provide them with on-the-job training in government offices, which would improve their employment chances.
