Islamabad: As per the latest news, The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) is considering implementing a mandatory golden handshake program (CGS) and a Voluntary Severance Plan (VSS) for personnel who have worked for the organization for decades.
On the other hand, it has decided to hire new staff at higher compensation than individuals who have been with the company for decades.
Section 8 of the PMC Act gives the Medical and Dental Council exclusive power to designate members, workers, and officials of the commission. The clause also gives the council the authority to establish a VSS and CGS.
According to the minutes of a PMC meeting, the member administration presented the VSS and CGS papers to the PMC council for review.
The administrative, legal, and finance departments collaborated on the VCC and CGS paper, which was presented to the council. The idea will be presented to the federal government for final approval when it has been approved.
On the other hand, according to the document, the council was informed that a modest alteration in the administrative staff’s (Grade A-6) compensation bracket was required in light of the grading scheme established at the 5th council meeting.
Previously, the starting salary was set at Rs160,001, with an annual increase of Rs5,500, and the final salary was set at Rs215,000.
However, the raise will now be Rs7,500, and the final salary would be Rs235,000.
The compensation bracket modification was unanimously approved by the council.
Furthermore, the human resource committee will be chaired by PMC Vice President Ali Raza.
