Two Model Colony homeowners filed a complaint with the high court, alleging that unlawful constructions were being carried out on state land in their neighbourhood without any authorised plans or approval from a responsible authority. They claimed that the action was carried out in conjunction with the officials involved by a private individual. The petitioners urged the court to stop the private respondent from building any more constructions and to order the personnel in charge to destroy the illegal structures.
