Rawalpindi: According to the latest news, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has submitted a PC-I for the feasibility analysis of the urban regeneration project along the Leh Expressway and Flood Channel for final approval.

In addition, the authority has submitted a PC-I for the development of a management unit for the Leh Expressway Project in order to begin the bidding process. Both project ideas are valued at PKR 23.7 million and PKR 104 million, respectively.
According to an RDA official, the Punjab Planning and Development Board contacted the Planning and Development Working Party (PDWP) ‘coming week in Lahore for the approval of feasibility study of urban regeneration project’.

The official also revealed that the provincial government intends to establish economic zones along the Leh Nullah, and that the civic authority will conduct a feasibility study in this regard. RDA also intends to attract investors to help develop the area and construct commercial structures. It was also stated that the authority intends to construct new structures.
