Rawalpindi: According to reports published on Sunday, the Punjab government has submitted PC-1 for land acquisition for the Leh Expressway and Flood Channel Project to the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) for final approval (October 17).

The Punjab Planning and Development Board has approved the project, and land would be obtained after the CDWP authorises PC-1, according to the facts. A full design and PC-1 for the building of the Leh Expressway would be finished by October 22, according to a senior official of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA). It will be submitted to the Planning and Development Board for approval once completed.
Furthermore, the government has directed the concerned authorities to fulfil the land acquisition process’ requirements. The deputy commissioner will appoint the assistant commissioner (revenue) to acquire land for the project, according to the report.

Furthermore, the Leh Expressway is scheduled to open in December of this year. However, it was stated that the environmental assessment study, which is required prior to the start of any project, had not been completed. The report will be finished in a month, according to a concerned official. He revealed that the Leh Expressway will be built in a public-private partnership and that RDA will be in charge of its development.
