Islamabad: According to different sources, meat exports from Pakistan, as well as meat preparations, are increasing in volume and value in numerous nations throughout the world. Over ten years, it has increased by more than 100 percent.

Pakistan’s meat exports are mostly to Gulf countries, though there has been an increase in shipments to the Maldives, Hong Kong, and other countries. Beef, mutton, chicken, and other meats are all included in the meat export list.

Over the last decade, the country’s annual meat exports have more than quadrupled, from $152.4 million in FY11 to $304.2 million in FY20.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) quarterly report, meat and meat preparations exports increased by 3.6 percent to $161.5 million in FY20, up from $155.8 million in FY19.
