Islamabad: According to reports, China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Singapore topped the list of countries from which Pakistan purchased various products during the first ten months of the current fiscal year (10MFY21).

The total imports from China for the (July-April) period were $10,312.1 million, up 35.02 percent from the previous fiscal year’s similar period of $7,638.1 million, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Pakistan bought commodities of $5,604 million from the UAE, down from $5,663 million the previous year, a 1.04 percent decrease.

According to SBP data, Singapore was the third most important country from which Pakistan imported goods worth $2,492 million, up from $1,991 million in FY20. This represents a 25.16 percent increase.

Pakistani imports from the United States increased by 5.94 percent, while imports from Saudi Arabia increased by 61.97 percent, according to the report.
