Islamabad: In a piece of recent news, a Chinese news website named “China Economic Net (CEN)” has quoted a report, where Pakistan ahs been ranked in the top 10 countries with the improved business environment.
The China Belt and Road Think Tank Cooperation Alliance, Beijing International Studies University, and other organisations collaborated on the paper, titled Annual Report on Investment Security of China’s “Belt and Road” Construction (2021).
According to the study, Pakistan has changed its regulations on obtaining licences, issuing no objection certificates (NOCs) for building, and registering new enterprises. These measures have increased the country’s security and convenience of doing business, as well as attracting foreign direct investment.

Furthermore, the research highlights a 220 percent improvement in economic security from 2019 to 2020. Similarly, the study rates Pakistan’s social security as “medium to poor,” with instability as a result of geopolitical concerns having a big impact.
The think tank releases an annual report to analyse the condition in nations that are part of the Belt and Road (BoR) program.
