Peshawar: According to media sources, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan unveiled a one-window business portal to encourage commercial and industrial activity on Monday (December 13) in a small ceremony.

Hassan Dawood, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the KP Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BoIT), Additional Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, Industries Secretary Hamayun Khan, KP Informational Board (KP-ITB) Managing Director Ali Mahmood, and other pertinent authorities attended the ceremony.
According to the information provided, the portal will serve as a one-stop shop for entrepreneurs and investors seeking licences, registrations, certifications, and permits from several ministries in order to launch a business or invest in the province. The business community will have access to an online payment facility for approval of building maps, registration fees, and different taxes through the site.

Furthermore, the business site will assist the business community in eliminating time-consuming and inconvenient methods for obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOCs). It will save time by eliminating the need for investors and businesspeople to visit multiple offices. In addition, the platform will ensure that NOCs are issued with accountability and openness.
While speaking at the event, CM Khan described the portal as a “major achievement” that will make conducting business in the province easier. According to the minister, it will promote private sector investment while also addressing corporate concerns. He went on to note that the provincial administration has also granted tax breaks to entice private companies to invest in the province.
