Mansehra: According to news released on Friday, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (CM) Ahmad Hussain Shah recommended that the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz increase the number of plots in the New Balakot City housing project.

During his visit to Balakot with his delegates, Special Assistant to the CM Ahmad Hussain Shah met with the NDMA chairman. During the discussion, the special assistant asked that the surviving families of the 2005 earthquake be given plots as soon as possible.

Furthermore, the CM’s assistant claimed that the affected people want their plots in the New Balakot City Housing Project allotted as soon as possible. He went on to add that the survivors want the 11,000 kanals of land to be developed again.

The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Shah revealed to the media that the NDMA chairman will meet with the Chief Minister next week to discuss the project’s early completion. In addition, the chairman will visit with stakeholders and local legislators to gain support for the resumed work.
