Islamabad: According to reports released on Sunday, Pakistani and Chinese tourist groups recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and created a cooperation with travel companies to promote tourism in the nation.

According to Pakistani Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque, a Chinese language website dubbed Discover Baite would be created (also known as Discover Pakistan). The purpose of this website is to promote Pakistani culture and tourism in China. He continued by stating that the government should promote smart tourism by utilising new technology to generate digital or virtual tourist resources.

According to reports, Ambassador Haque has established a task group in Beijing to revive Pakistan’s tourist sector. It was stated that visa facilitation, favourable policies, suitable tourist organisations, and tourism development and rehabilitation may help the country become a more appealing tourist destination for Chinese and international visitors. According to the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), tourism accounts for 6% to 7% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
