Islamabad: According to media reports, the Ministry of Housing and Works and China State Building Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday (September 3) for the construction of low-cost dwellings under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP).

Dr. Imran Zeb Khan, the Secretary of Housing and Works, and the top representative of CSCEC signed the MoU. According to information provided by the government, Pakistan is looking for Chinese investment in the housing and construction sectors for big projects that would create jobs in the nation. Furthermore, it will aid the country’s economic development.

Furthermore, this effort is believed to address the most important components of communal life, such as the provision of a sanitary environment and clean water. It was revealed that the goal of building low-cost NPHP homes is to provide cheap housing units while also establishing infrastructure like as natural gas, sewage, water supply, power, and roads.
