Peshawar: According to news reports, the smartphone application ‘Zama KP’ was launched on Thursday for online payment of provincial taxes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan was the principal guest at a recent ceremony to launch the application. The e-portal allows inhabitants of KP to pay taxes using their mobile phones.

According to the information provided, people will be able to pay a token tax on their automobiles through this e-payment option at first. Residents will be able to pay all property and vehicle taxes through this site in the following phase. Furthermore, the mobile application can be used to pay educational board fees.

It’s worth noting that the excise, VAT, and drugs control departments introduced the e-payment system. Other departments, on the other hand, can use the system to collect taxes. The app was developed with the financial and technical aid of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the sub-national governance programme, according to more information about the e-portal.
