According to a tweet from the official Twitter account of the Ministry of IT and Telecom, the ministry’s particular communication organization plans to invest Rs. One thousand five hundred eighty million in Gilgit to boost networking infrastructure. Construction work will take place within a 100-kilometre radius of Sazain, Rae Kot, and Chalas.

The ambitious project would serve a population of about 300,000 people, including employees at the Diamer-Bhasha dam site and residents in the surrounding areas. According to the IT ministry, the networking project would provide people with better and quicker internet and mobile communication.

By adding 80,000 additional internet and mobile users, the project is projected to raise $300 million in revenue. Infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, hygiene, schooling, higher education, energy, gems, and precious stone production are all part of a five-year development plan for Gilgit Baltistan.

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has boosted regional growth significantly. As the CPEC-related project progresses, further measures are being taken to support the grand project’s goals.
