Salah Mohammad Khan, federal parliamentary secretary for water resources and MNA, inaugurated a Rs1 billion gas project in the Shanai Bala region of Mansehra on Monday.
“Instead of rhetoric, our government believes in practical work and is serving the people through development projects. “Natural gas will be delivered to this area and its surroundings soon,” a local legislator said at the pipeline laying ceremony.
He said that the previous Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government obstructed and even cancelled the gas project, but that he was able to get it approved by Prime Minister Imran Khan again.
“Not only did the prime minister re-approve this initiative, but he also released Rs1 billion in funding to expedite its completion,” he said.
Mr Salah stated that the government had allocated about Rs2 billion for the construction of roads in the Siran, Konsh, and Kaghan valleys in order to encourage tourism and create employment.
