Lahore: According to various sources, the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved the construction of the Lahore Sialkot Motorway (LSM) link Highway (4-lanes) connecting LSM to Narang Mandi and Narowal (length 81.75 km) for Rs 10 billion at its 40th meeting of the current financial year here on Wednesday. Narowal Eastern Bypass-District Narowal was also part of the project.

On this occasion, the secretary of the Planning & Development Board recommended that work on all development projects be expedited to complete them on time, adding, “The timeline of every stage of all development projects should be determined.” He also requested that work on road development projects be expedited.

The meeting was attended by all members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries of pertinent ministries, the senior chief (Coordination), and other senior officials of the relevant provincial departments.

Narowal Eastern Bypass and the Narowal neighborhood are also part of the project. On the occasion, the secretary of the Planning and Development Board urged the officers in charge to hasten work on all development projects so that they can be completed on time, saying, “The timeframe of every stage of all development projects should be set.” He also told the officials that road development projects should be completed as soon as possible.
