Islamabad: As per the latest news, Dr. Babar Awan, the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Parliamentary Affairs, announced on Friday that the government has sanctioned PKR 35 billion in loans for the Naya Pakistan Housing Project (NPHP) Flagship project’s low-cost housing scheme for the underprivileged.

He went on to detail the project’s accomplishments since its beginning while replying to queries from members of parliament, including the following:
- Construction of 45,000 dwellings has begun, with completion expected in 18 months
- Easy monthly installments of PKR 6,000 to 10,000 for 20 years
- In addition to the 11,000 apartments, 3 million housing units are being built.
- Additional 12 projects were inaugurated by the Prime Minister in various cities

- Banks have received 33506 loan applications totaling PKR 110 billion, with just PKR 35 billion accepted
- Low-interest housing loans are available to assist in the construction of homes.
