Lahore: According to a news source, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to introduce the e-tendering system in reaction to public complaints about the lack of clarity in tendering and bidding for projects.
According to Governing Body member Amir Riaz Qureshi, any firm interested in participating in the bidding process can simply apply via the newly established application rather than visiting the engineering section (Urban Development Wing) offices.
Mr. Amir Riaz Qureshi indicated that a development committee led by him was tasked with closely monitoring bidding processes, including the publication of electronic tenders in print media and the monitoring of prequalification processes for contractors before the start of the tendering/bidding phase.
Punjab’s Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, according to Sadia Sohail Rana, a member of the LDA governing body, condemned the LDA’s new deputation strategy and formed a committee to review the paper submitted by the authority’s administration.
She also said that the chief minister of Punjab believes that all companies involved in participating in the bidding process should be given equal opportunities.
