Lahore: Director General (DG) Ahmad Aziz Tarar of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) announced on Tuesday (October 5) that the authority will establish a ‘Overseas Pakistani Desk’ as part of its One Window Cell to assist expatriates, according to news media.

In a meeting with Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (POPC) Vice Chairman Syed Tariq Mehmood-ul-Hassan, DG LDA Tarar revealed this fact. He emphasised that resolving the concerns of Pakistanis living abroad is a high priority, and that all techniques and resources will be used to do so.
He also directed the authorities to resolve the difficulties of Pakistanis living abroad as quickly as feasible. On Friday, October 8, the vice chairman of POPC will visit the LDA office to inaugurate the Overseas Pakistani Desk.

Following this new development, abroad Pakistanis will be able to file complaints with the desk, and dedicated LDA teams will be tasked with resolving the complaint in a timely manner and reclaiming lands that have been illegally occupied.
