The contractor will redesign U-turns on Muhib Chowk, Hockey Stadium Chowk, Shadiwal Chowk, and Shaukat Khanum Flyover to make Khayaban-e-Firdousi Road signal-free. All of these U-turns will be rebuilt to accommodate the heavy traffic flow. Aside from that, modern awareness boards will be put throughout the project’s whole course.

It’s worth noting that work on phase-I of the Khayaban-e-Firdousi Road redesign and restructuring began in August, with the destruction of the Allah-Hoo roundabout and the building of protected U-turns before the roundabout.

Mahmood Chowk, Jagawar Chowk, and Shadiwal Chowk will also be modified after Phases I and II of the project are completed. The project was approved by Director-General (DG) LDA Ahmad Aziz Tarar in order to ensure smooth traffic flow on one of the city’s busiest highways.
