Lahore: According to press reports, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) proposes to construct a three-lane flyover on Bhekewal Mor to relieve traffic congestion on the road connecting Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab and Main Boulevard Allama Iqbal Town.

The project is expected to cost PKR 1.9 billion to complete, and it will provide daily benefits to 200,000 motorists.
A Bhekewal Mor flyover will be built from Sheikh Zayed Hospital to Allama Iqbal Town Boulevard, as well as new U-turns on the main boulevard and the road leading to Sheikh Zayed Hospital, according to the LDA’s preliminary plans.

In addition, the LDA has started rebuilding work on Khayaban-e-Firdousi Road. Reconstruction of roads leading to and from Allah-Hoo Chowk in Johar Town, as well as new U-turns and traffic signals on Khayaban-e-Firdousi, are all part of the proposed plan. Messrs Concept Engineering has already been given the project contract of PKR 90.6 million, and the project will be finished in two months.
