Lahore: According to news reports, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Ahmad Aziz Tarar told contractors working on the Sheranwala Gate flyover to speed up work on the project on Thursday (November 11). During his visit to the project’s construction site, he told Mazhar Hussain Khan, Chief Engineer LDA (II), to work extra shifts in order to finish the project ahead of schedule.

DG Tarar said that a daily construction status report should be supplied to ensure that the project continues on track and is completed on schedule during his visit to the Sheranwala Gate Flyover, now known as the Hazrat Ali Hajvery Data Ganj Bakhsh Flyover.
In a similar event, DG LDA Ahmad Aziz Tarar urged authorities to handle citizens’ land-related issues as soon as possible. He stated that authorities and personnel should concentrate on meeting their objectives and take action against those who engage in illegal construction operations.

He went on to say that the authority is working on a comprehensive plan to combat land grabbing, encroachment, illegal constructions, and illegal housing schemes, as well as giving special attention to road repair and maintenance to better serve the population.
