Peshawar: According to news reports, the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) declared the completion of a 216-kanal park on Peshawar Ring Road on Monday (October 04). Previously a municipal dumping ground, the civic authority has transformed the land into the city’s largest park.

The Peshawar park project, according to sources, was completed in four months and is equipped with sophisticated entertainment and recreational amenities, including an amusement park, a 13-kanal-wide children’s play area, and a special people and people with disabilities section.

According to a PDA official, there is a 1.5-kilometer contemporary-designed jogging track in the area, which is a much-needed addition because there used to be a jogging track at Garrison Park, which has since closed down. According to sources, the administration is also preparing to establish a zoo on the unoccupied property adjacent to the park, and that choices will be made soon.
