Gujranwala: According to news sources, Gujranwala Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Sohail Khawaja has directed the Land Record and Revenue Department to halt granting land mutations and ownership transfers of plots under 33 illegal schemes.

The decision was made at the request of the Gujranwala Development Authority (GDA), which cited improper land allotment without a no-objection certificate from the relevant authorities.
The transfer of land and plots in 33 unapproved societies and 256 sub-land divisions has been halted as a result of the judgment. A list of the alleged housing projects and sub-land divisions has been sent to DC’s office in the hopes of imposing a comprehensive prohibition.

In other news, the district of Hafizabad has been awarded a development budget of PKR 3.86 billion. Various road construction and restoration projects are included in the development projects to address connectivity and traffic difficulties. The funding will be disclosed during the provincial budget session, and the building will begin soon after.
