For the past three decades, the business community has been clamouring for phase II of the industrial area. The procedure began in 1992, however due to farmer opposition and litigation over land identified near Deona Mandi along the GT Road, the project was never completed.

However, officials have moved the project’s location this time, as requested by the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GtCCI).

In the residential districts of Gujrat city, a huge number of makers of electric fans, ceramics, furniture, and related vendors have been functioning, creating a great lot of inconvenience to residents as well as damaging the environment.
