Faisalabad: As per the latest news, the allocation of 400 acres of land for the development of a new airport in Faisalabad has been approved by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar. The airport will be built on land adjacent to the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company’s economic zones (FIEDMC).
Moreover, in collaboration with the Punjab Government and the Punjab Board of Technical Education, a FIEDMC Center of Excellence will be created. The chief minister also approved the development of a road connecting Sahiyanwala and Jaranwala in order to provide quick access to the M3 Motorway from the FIEDMC’s economic zones.
Mr Bazdar was approached by Chairman FIEDMC Mian Kashif Ashfaq, who thanked him for approving these projects. These policies, he said, would be extremely beneficial in attracting international investors to FedEx’s economic zones.
Kashif Ashfaq stated that the business park would be built on 300 acres of land adjacent to the FIEDMC’s economic zones and that construction on the Apparel Park would begin soon.
The chief minister announced that he would visit Faisalabad soon to begin work on the Furniture City, Health City, and Weaving City in Allama Iqbal Industrial City, as well as the One Window Service Center, Safe City Project, Shuttle Train Service, FedMic Police Station, Rescue 1122 stations, and disaster management cells.
He will also lay the foundation stone for the Social Security Hospital, Medical College, and Nursing Training Institute that will be established in FIEDMC’s economic zones during his proposed visit. He instructed the Chairman of the FIEDMC to move forward with the development of Apparel Park as soon as possible.
