Lahore: According to news reports, Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mr Asad Khokhar said that work on the project to connect Ferozepur Road with the Sabzazar Motorway will begin shortly.

The Lahore Development Authority has earlier approved the building of a 15-kilometer signal-free corridor between the Kharak Stop (Multan Road) and the Lahore Burj (Ferozepur Road). The minister paid a visit to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) office after taking the oath of office.
Ahmed Aziz Tarar, Director-General of the LDA, briefed him on several LDA development efforts in and around the city. The LDA City New Pakistan Apartments, according to the minister, is a critical project that must be finished as soon as feasible.

Syed Zahid Aziz, the Managing Director (MD) of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), has claimed that WASA is having difficulty finishing projects in regions outside of its jurisdiction. The minister directed the necessary authorities to prepare a report in order to put these areas within WASA’s authority. The minister also planted a tree in the LDA office on this occasion.
