Lahore: According to media sources, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan was briefed on the PKR 100 billion investment projected in the Central Business District (CBD) in the first year.

The meeting attendees were informed that construction on the CBD and Ravi Riverfront Urban Development (RRUD) projects is progressing at a rapid rate, and site acquisition is nearing completion, according to the details.

While chairing a meeting on the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and the CBD, PM Khan directed that the land transfer procedure for the projects be expedited. He went on to say that the urban development initiatives were initiated with the intention of making a profit.

PM Khan went on to say that the initiatives will improve the villagers’ socioeconomic situation. The attendees were also informed that the RRUDP’s master plan included 1,900 low-cost housing units.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister noted that the government has begun to exploit dead capital to generate money. PM Khan revealed that environmentally friendly materials will be employed for development work on the CBD project.

Lt. Gen. (R) Anwar Ali Haider, Chairman of the Naya Pakistan Housing & Development Authority (NAPHDA), Dr. Shehbaz Gill, Minister of Information Fawad Ahmed, Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal, Advisor Finance Shaukat Tarin, and other key officials attended the meeting.
