LCCI convened a stakeholder meeting where it was determined to engage project stakeholders before making any decisions. The new Lahore Master Plan, according to VC Imran, is being built for future generations. He went on to explain that the environment was given special attention in accordance with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision.
Furthermore, Lahore lacks land for industrial investment and expansion, according to LCCI President Mian Tariq Misbah. Lahore now has just two industrial estates: Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate and Sundar Industrial Estate, both of which are fully operational. It is the cause, according to the VC, for the high cost of industrial land in the city.

The new Master Plan is being created in response to the industrial estate’s demands. The LDA is in favour of rezoning Lahore and increasing the industrial sector, according to the LCCI president. He went on to say that the sector was overloaded by the high rate of conversion costs due to the absence of industrial zoning.
