Peshawar: According to a recent news report, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minster (CM) Mahmood Khan has given the approval for the plan of action for the execution of the Industrial Policy 2020 that includes the specific steps to revise the failing and defunct industries.
A meeting was convened under the chairmanship of KP CM to approve this proposal. According to the decision, industries will be supplied with low-interest financing, reliable power, and improved road and communication infrastructure to help them expand their operations. In addition, the conference resolved to construct ten Industrial Zones within ten years, as promised by the Industrial Policy 2020.
Small industrial estates in Abbottabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Dara Adman Khel, Shah-Kas, and Mardan would also be awarded the designation of Special Economic Zones, according to the announcement (SEZs). The temporary administration, according to the chief minister, would guarantee that industries pay workers the government-mandated minimum salary of Rs. 21,000 per month.
Mr. Mahmood also ordered the authorities to give No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) to the companies within the stipulated time limit in order to speed up industrialization. He went on to say that the industries will be supplied with power generated locally.
