Karachi: According to press reports, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) began an anti-encroachment operation against unlawful constructions built near or over stormwater drains in the city’s Central and East districts.
Encroachments from Peetal Gali, NADRA Mega Center, and Gulbahar in North Nazimabad were targeted in the central district, according to the details supplied. The unauthorised buildings were also removed from the service roads and pathways, according to reports.
Furthermore, the KMC crew was said to have removed grills, staircases, walls, shutters, and concrete parts from pathways and service roads. The operation took place on Ameer Khusro Road in the Eastern district. Children’s swings and other forms of encroachments were removed off the service roadways during this operation.
