Karachi: According to the news source, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah chaired a high-level meeting on Thursday to resolve lingering concerns with the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) and the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) over parking plazas in Saddar and Bara-Dari.

The problem of parking plazas at Bara-Dari and Saddar, which are claimed by both local bodies, was investigated. The minister directed the parties to discontinue their pending lawsuits surrounding the subject after hearing both sides.

The KDA was also instructed to drop their claim and hand over the Bara-Dari parking lot to the KMC, according to the minister. Similarly, the KDA was given back the parking plaza in Sadar-Karachi.

CM Shah went on to say that both civic bodies are concerned with the welfare of the people and should avoid civil disputes over land issues. The conference also discussed the city’s advertisement spots and the revenue they generate.

According to the facts, there is a disagreement between KMC and the District Municipal Corporation (DMC) over revenue, which the minister indicated should be controlled by DMC and money distributed according to historical practise.
