Karachi: According to news reports, Karachi City Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab launched Karachi’s second Miyawaki forest near Boat Basin on Saturday (November 06). Following the Metropole Hotel Forest Project, this is the second effort of its sort to be created with the help of Ndirshaw Edulji Dinshaw (NED) University Karachi.

According to Wahab, the city administration in Karachi aims to build 300 Miyawaki forest projects to solve the city’s growing climate change-related concerns. All of these efforts will be developed at a rapid rate, with the help of private firms and citizens, to reduce environmental deterioration.

In another development, the city administrator indicated during a visit to the west Kimari district that the province government plans to rebuild 17 deteriorated highways in the city, including the PKR 720 million State Avenue and Valika Road. He remarked that the administration is working hard to improve the city’s transportation services. He also mentioned that the local government plans to construct 15 new roads in the Site area.
