Karachi: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, the Karachi head of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), stated on Monday that the party will launch a major protest over Karachi’s water scarcity.

He presented a date-by-date strategy for the agitation during a news conference at the Idara Noor-e-Haq, the JI’s central headquarters in Karachi. On Friday, he added, protest sit-ins will be staged at 100 locations around the city, and on September 8, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board’s headquarters would be besieged.
