Peshawar: According to our sources, the Peshawar government announced that the long-standing dispute over the land site of the multi-billion-dollar Diamer Bhasha Dam had been resolved,

Reportedly, a local Jirga, the local administration, and the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) have resolved the concerns about the land site between the two major tribes of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Gilgit Baltistan (GB). The Thor-Herban grand Jirga announced a ceremony held at the dam’s site.

It was highlighted that the 26-member Jirga was constituted in December 202 to resolve the territorial dispute. The sources resolved the land dispute after WAPDA agreed to compensate the tribes on both sides of the boundary.
