According to press reports, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman launched an online registration system for all tenants in the city on Wednesday (May 19).
Landlords will no longer have to go to the police station to submit renters’ information; instead, they will do it on the Internet.
The aforementioned online registration mechanism was officially launched at the Central Police Office. Many police officers were there, including Saleem Raza Sheikh, Director IT Department, and Kamran Adil, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Headquarter.
IGP Islamabad praised the IT department’s timely work during his inauguration speech. He further added that this approach would aid in identifying offenders while also protecting the landlords’ properties.
Islamabad Police has adopted various new technological projects for the comfort of civilians over the previous four months. To the delight of Islamabad residents, the department has launched a traffic update alert, SMS alert, e-police desk, FIR, and an online traffic appointment system.
A person proposed the idea of an online registration system to IGP Islamabad. The ultimate judgement was made at the Traffic Police (ITP) office during an online Khuli Kutchery (open court).
