Quetta: According to a recent news report, the Balochistan cabinet has approved a health insurance facility for 1.8 million families living in the province. Under this policy, each family member will be able to get treatment of up to Rs. 1 million in both public and private hospitals.
Under the Global Partnership Education Balochistan Project, the cabinet also extended contracts to 1,493 male and female teachers. A committee was also formed to devise a course of action and make a recommendation to the chief minister for the teachers’ regularisation services.
At the meeting, the cabinet also raised funding for the digitization of Land Records Management Information in four districts, namely Quetta, Pishin, Jaffrabad, and Gwadar, from Rs. 50 million to Rs. 200 million. This move would boost accountability and land record evaluation.
