Karachi: According to news reports, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah stated the inhabitants and fishing community of the Baba and Bhit islands, as well as Mubarak Village, will receive three floating jetties and passenger shelters before the end of the year.

By increasing connectivity to the major metropolis, the Rs. 250 million programme would enhance the lives of island people. Bridge building projects will be carried out by the local government, which will be led by Local Government Minister Nasir Shah.

Similarly, the Chief Minister of Sindh approved Rs. 600 million for sewage drainage, water supply, and brick roads on the twin islands of Shams Pir and Saulehabad. The chief minister also promised members of the fishing community that their villages’ leases, which were due to expire, would be renewed by the Board of Revenue. In addition, he directed Karachi Commissioner Naveed Shaikh to establish a vaccination centre for the distant island fishermen.
