Rawalpindi: According to press reports, the Rawalpindi government announced the preliminary inauguration dates of four huge projects worth billions on Thursday (November 02). A 123-kilometer Tourism Expressway, a 20-kilometer Leh Expressway, a 34-kilometer Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR), and a wastewater treatment plant are among the proposed developments.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar are expected to inaugurate the projects between November 25 and December 25. The commissioner, deputy commissioner, and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) administration have begun preparations in this regard.

According to plans, the CM would open the PKR 4.5 billion Tourism Expressway between November 25 and 30. Starting at Pindori Chowk Kalar Syedan, the project will connect Rawalpindi’s mountainous tehsils of Kalar Syedan, Kahuta, Kotli Sattian, and Murree. The road from Lower Topa to Azad Kashmir will be signal-free as well.
