Karachi: According to news reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation stone for a low-cost housing project in Sargodha under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP).

A total of 1,175 three-marla houses will be built in six different locations across the Sargodha district under this NPHP chapter. The Punjab government will provide the initiative with land and other amenities.

The fact that these 3-marla NPHP houses would be built by Frontier Works Organization (FWO) was also highlighted. Punjab Bank will provide the mortgage facility, allowing deserving people to pay for their homes in simple installments. There have already been 33,528 applications for the apartments, and allotments will be made by balloting.
