Lahore: According to media sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the cornerstone for three development projects in the city.
The groundbreaking dates had been announced twice before being canceled. According to a senior source who did not want to be identified, the PM will now perform the groundbreaking on Monday (July 12).

The Sheranwala Gate Flyover is the first project, and it will cost PKR 4.9 billion. The flyover would extend for one kilometer between Naulakha Police Station and Sheranwala Gate Flyover. This project is being created to relieve traffic congestion on Circular Road because it will be a signal-free route. According to Chief Engineer Mazhar Hussain Khan of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), a 6ft of the walkway would be created on both sides of the road. Furthermore, the sewage pipeline building is moving at a breakneck speed.

The Shahkam Chowk overhead project valued at PKR 4.3 billion, is the second project. From Thokar Niaz Beg to Shahkam Chowk, this project would improve public transportation along the Link Canal Road.
Aside from that, the third project, valued at PKR 197 million, is concerned with rainwater management. It’s made to gather rainwater and use it to rehydrate subterranean water tables and irrigate city vegetation.
