Islamabad: The federal government will launch financial bids for the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (M6) in October, according to Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill. The National Economic Council’s Executive Committee (ECNEC) has authorised the building of the Hyderabad-Sukkur highway at a revised PC-1 cost of Rs191.471 billion.

The 30-kilometer, 6-lane highway project would be built on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis. During the ECNEC meeting in Islamabad, Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin stated that the project will be finished in 30 months.
