Hyderabad: According to reports published on Sunday, the federal government has released PKR 14 billion for the development of the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (M-6) project (October 31).
While chairing a meeting about land acquisition for the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway project, Shaheed Benazirabad Division Commissioner Syed Mohsin Ali Shah claimed that the construction of the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (M-6) will usher in a new age of development in the area.

He went on to remark that the National Highway Authority (NHA) will get all feasible assistance in the project’s execution. This new road infrastructure will improve transportation while also creating new job opportunities. The commissioner also noted that a system for making timely payments to landowners will be developed.
Furthermore, National Highway General Manager Sham Sundar stated that the project’s construction work will be finished in accordance with the working paper prepared in 2015-2016. According to him, residents of Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Khairpur, Matiari, and Naushahro Feroze districts will gain tremendously from the highway.

It is pertinent to mention that it is a 306-kilometre long Motorway that will encompass six lanes. For supervision of construction, eight assistant directors and five deputy directors have been appointed.
