Lahore: In a piece of recent news, the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has awarded preliminary permission for four big infrastructure projects worth Rs. 10 billion in the province capital, including the Shahdara Modern Turbo Roundabout.

According to sources, Director General (DG) Ahmed Aziz Tarar of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) proposed the four big projects for CM Buzdar’s approval a few days ago. In cooperation with National Engineering Services Pakistan, Chief Engineer LDA Mazhar Hussain produced a preliminary overview of the projects (NESPAK).

Following the completion of PC-1, the chief minister directed the appropriate authorities to get project approval. Turbo roundabouts and eight ramps will be erected in Shahdara as part of the project, which will cost Rs. 5 billion.

300,000 cars would benefit from the construction of roundabouts. Similarly, for Rs. 1.80 billion, a 6.5-kilometer dual highway from Ghazi Road to Bhatti Chowk would be built and rebuilt.

Bhatti Chowk, Data Darbar, Faisal Chowk, Gulshan Ravi T Junction, Nishtar Junction, and Kahna Kacha Roundabout are among the eight Lahore intersections that will be renovated at a cost of Rs. 1.40 billion. A Rs. 900 million repair project for Data Nagar Burj and the surrounding area is also included in the proposal.
