Taxila: According to news released on Tuesday, the Center for Culture and Development (CCD) has organised a five-day Gandhara Festival that will begin today (October 5) at Taxila Museum and will include storytelling sessions, panel discussions, and exhibitions (October 5).

The festival will be open to the public from October 6 to 9, according to the specifications. Through panel discussions, showcasing of local crafts, exhibitions, and site visits, CCD Director Izzah Khan stated that the festival aims to promote cultural pluralism, highlight respect for cultural diversity and heritage, and integrate intangible and tangible cultural heritage of the Gandhara Civilisation.

CCD also intends to draw a varied audience from educational institutions, diplomatic missions, academics, artists, scholars, government departments, and the local community, according to her. The festival will also focus on the Gandhara Civilisation in Buddhist and Jain history in Pakistan, according to the organisers. Furthermore, CCD Director Khan added that youth should be educated about their ancestry and culture in order to feel connected to their roots.
