Lahore: As per the latest news reports, Gulzar Ahmad, Pakistan’s Chief Justice, recently opened Pakistan’s first commercial court at the Lahore Judicial Complex.
Commercial courts, according to the Chief Justice, are critical to the country’s economic success.
He went on to say that the establishment of the first commercial court in Lahore, Punjab, was a revolutionary step, but he praised Muhammad Qasim Khan, the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, for his accomplishment.
According to sources, he also stated that matters involving business must be resolved as soon as possible because they have an indirect impact on the country’s general economy.
Furthermore, in order to construct these commercial courts, the provincial government is pursuing a consultation process with the LHC, which adopted the Punjab Commercial Courts Ordinance of 2021 under the ease-of-doing business reform framework.
