Separately, the CDA’s security department is investigating another alleged bogus allotment case involving seven plots in D-13 valued at millions of dollars.

The FIA had filed a FIR against 10 CDA officials in April this year, accusing them of fraudulently allotting a plot in I-11. After concluding its investigation into one of the seven suspected fraudulently allotted plot cases, the FIA filed the FIR. The FIRs in the remaining six cases, however, have yet to be filed.

According to sources, several of the named defendants in the FIR filed a court case to have the FIR quashed. On Tuesday, the FIA recorded the CDA officials’ remarks in order to defend the case. CDA officers/officials appeared before the investigating officer in response to the letter and gave their statements, which were recorded.

In August of last year, the security directorate seized data of seven alleged fraud files from the CDA’s One-Window Operations, where they were being processed for further transfers.

After confiscating the seven files, the security directorate conducted a probe and reached the conclusion that these files were bogus, and referred the case to FIA. But, surprisingly, the FIA is still sitting on the six files.
