Faisalabad: According to a recent news report, the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General (DG) Dr. Faisal Azim launched the masterplan of Faisalabad which is the third-largest city and industrial hub of the country.
The proposal was revealed during a meeting between the director general and a group of businessmen and the All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (APTPMA). Dr. Faisal further mentioned that the strategy is being developed to meet the demands of the country’s growing industrial and commercial centre. In addition, he added that in response to the city’s expanding population, the FDA has planned many bridges, road networks, hospitals, educational institutions, community centres, and parks.
He further claimed that as part of the Naya Pakistan Housing Program (NPHP), 2,000 homes would be erected on government property in FDA City, and that a plan is in the works.
The APTMA members claimed that the city is being developed as a result of the FDA’s efforts, and that the APTMA has also contributed to the initiatives, in addition to providing thousands of employment possibilities. The conference was attended by members of the trading organization, as well as APTMA and FDA officials of various ranks.
