Faisalabad: According to press reports, the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) held a consultative meeting to solicit public opinion and views on the planned Faisalabad 20-year Master Plan (2021-41). The meeting was placed in the FDA committee room, where public submissions were approved by the committee proposed by FDA Director Dr. Faisal Azeem.

The group was briefed on the proposed master plan by a representative of a private business firm. Later, private companies and individuals submitted suggestions on how to improve the plan, which the committee approved for further consideration and, if feasible, incorporation into the final plan.
FDA Chairman Chaudhry Latif Nazar, speaking at the event, noted that all available resources are being utilized to make the proposed 20-year master plan more comprehensive and technically solid. In this sense, ensuring that the strategy is congruent with on-the-ground reality requires involving all stakeholders in the consultation process.

The consultation session was attended by FDA Chairman Chaudhry Latif Nazar, Acting Additional Director/Director Finance Azam Malik, and committee members. Aside from that, attendees included people from all walks of life, as well as corporate organizations and technical consultants.
